Monthly Message from Governor's Office of Early Childhood Education
July 2016
You can help your children arrive at kindergarten ready to grow, ready to learn and ready to succeed by doing simple, every-day tasks and activities. This month, we define common terms to help you navigate the early childhood world.
Incoming Kindergarten Families
We are getting excited at SECC as we prepare our school for our students and families!! Reminder: K classroom teachers will be sending letters out on Friday 29th! The supply list will be at Wal Mart and in the newspaper soon. Here is the K supply list....

1 box of crayons
1 box of markers 
2 plastic folders with pockets
1 three ring 1 inch binder
6 glue sticks
1 Primary Composition Notebook (No spiral notebooks, please)
2 boxes of tissues
1 container of baby wipes
1 container of Clorox Wipes
Girls Bring- 1 box of Ziploc bags (gallon size)
Boys Bring- 1 box of Ziploc bags (sandwich size)

**optional, but greatly appreciated: Hand Sanitizer and a roll of paper towels.  

2016-2017 Kindergarten Information
Families,

Attached is a copy of the Kindergarten Supply list for 2016-17(Click on Read More to access).  Hopefully this will help if you want to plan ahead and purchase some of the supplies now.  Anyone wishing to fill out a teacher characteristics form, please contact Janice.Meredith@anderson.kyschools.us.   We hope everyone has a safe and restful summer.  See you in August!
