AC Youth Leadership
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce is seeking applicants for a new community development program focusing on youth leadership for the 2019-2020 school year. Applicants must be incoming Juniors.  
Announcements For 10th, 11th, And 12th Grade Students
1. Attention 10th and 11th grade students who missed the Early College meeting this week. There are four handouts outside of Mrs. Wells' office to pick up pertaining important deadlines. If you have questions, see Mrs. Wells.
2. All students planning to take BCTC classes must have their enrollment paperwork properly signed and sublitted to Mrs. Wells' office by May 10th.
3. Any student who has not met college benchmarks to take Early College classes may sign up to go take the Wonderlic test on May 3rd at BCTC. Students must sign up on Mrs. Wells' door by May 2nd. Transportation must be arranged by students and parents. See Mrs. Wells for more details. 10th and 11th grade re-takes for the Wonderlic test costs $20 and must be payed in advance before going to re-take the test. See Mrs. Wells for more information.
4. 12th grade students are reminded to turn in their scholarship information to Ms. Miracle no later than May 3rd in the guidance office. Invitations for Scholarship Night on May 9th will go out during CCR on Monday, May 6th.
5. There is a switch on some end-of-year dates. Seniors will take their finals on May 16th and 17th now, instead of May 20th. 1st, 3rd, and 5th period finals will be the 16th and 2nd and 4th period finals will be on the 17th. Senior grades will be due no later than 3:00 p.m. on May 20th. Senior picnic will be May 20th. The rest of the Senior Day activities will still be May 22nd. 
6. Senior parents are invited to attend the Commitment to Excellence Decision Day ceremony on May 22nd at 8:15 a.m. in the main gym. The ceremony is expected to last until 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will be followed by the Graduation Walk where seniors will load up buses in front of the main building and go to ACMS and their elementary school to celebrate their conclusion of education in Anderson Co. Schools.
7. 11th grade students will be state testing in the areas of Science and On Demand Writing on May 9th and 16th. Please make sure that students are at school that day and appointments are scheduled around these two dates.   
Europe 2020 Trip
Any student who is interested in going on the ACHS trip to Europe in July 2020 is invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, May 2nd in the Media Center. Parents are encouraged to attend as well. Please RSVP to Please see Mrs. Potter if you have any questions.  
Senior Calendar [May 2019]
The following calendar is a list of upcoming events pertaining to seniors. This calendar was distributed to seniors during the senior meeting on April 17th. 
Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 28that 6:00 p.m. at Alltech Arena. All seniors will be required to ride a district provided bus to the ceremony. Students will not be required to ride the bus back to ACHS. All students must purchase a cap and gown to walk during the ceremony. We have also attached a seating chart for Alltech Arena. Please periodically check the ACHS website for more announcements as they become available. We will also make one calls to senior parents on an as needed basis. Early College Meeting
Any sophomore of junior who is interested in taking dual credit classes next year as an early college student should attend the informational meeting on Thursday, April 25th at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Wells.
