Important Parent Information about ACMS Google Sessions and Student Assignments
Here is important information for ACMS Parents and Students
  1. The live google sessions that are being provided by ACMS teachers each day are optional for students to join if they are needing  direct instruction for an assignment or have questions about the assignment.
  2. The sessions are not required for a daily grade.
  3. If your child chooses to participate in a google session,  your child needs to be focused on the instruction and display respectful, non-distracting behaviors as if it were a traditional classroom setting.

  1. Students are given daily assignments for the core subject areas of math, science, social studies, language arts and physical/health education, literacy, or careers.
  2. These assignments must to be completed and submitted in a timely manner (within 1-2 days) of the assigned date online.   Students working with print copies should have those returned within a week.
  3. Grades from these assignments will be recorded in Infiinite Campus.  These daily tasks are the 4th 9 weeks grades and will be averaged into the final yearly grade.
  4. Passing grades for the year are required for students to be promoted to the next grade level for the 2020-21 school year.

I am requesting support from parents/guardians to monitor their child's google classroom assignments and grades in Infinite Campus through parent portal.  It is very important that students complete their daily assignments.  If they are having difficulty getting their work submitted to the teacher, please email me or the content teacher for assistance.

I appreciate your patience, understanding, and support while we are all adjusting to the non-traditional learning classroom settings.   Please contact me at any time for any questions or assistance you need.

Thank you,

Ms. Rose, Principal

ACMS Online Content Support Schedules
ACMS Families,
I appreciate your flexibility and patience during this new learning adventure we are all working through at this time.  Last week was the first week for everyone to experience the online learning approach for this portion of our school year and I know it was challenging at times.  I listened to the concerns of families, students, and teachers from our work last week.  As an attempt to help everyone at home and our staff develop a routine similar to what we had in our traditional face-to-face school days, I have asked each grade level to develop a daily schedule for live, online support for one hour per day per content Monday-Friday each week.  This live online support time will provide students an opportunity to see the direct instruction from the teachers as they would in the classroom and to have an opportunity to ask questions directly to the content teacher.  The grade level schedules are listed below.  The sessions will be accessible through the teachers' google classroom pages and will be recorded so that students can view them later as needed.  Teachers will also be available through email and phone calls throughout the day until 3 PM.   I hope this will help everyone at home develop a more consistent routine for your children and to provide time for students to get "traditional" live support from their teachers.  Please contact me at school any time Monday-Friday 8 AM-3 PM or by email to share any concerns and to let me know how I or any of my ACMS staff can assist you and your children.   I, along with my staff,  am here to support and assist each of you in every way we can.   I miss each of you and will see you soon.
Take care -- stay healthy and safe.
Ms. Rose, Principal
