ACMS SBDM Parent Nominations
ACMS is now taking nominations for parent representatives who wish to serve on the 2021-2022 Site-Based Decision Making Council.  To serve on the council, a parent must have a 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade student enrolled at ACMS for the 2021-2022 school year.  Nominations are due by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.  Information on voting will be posted next week.  Click the link below to complete the nomination.  

 
2021-22 Learning Platform Options for Students in Middle Grades
Students attending grades 6-8 in Anderson County for the 2021-22 school year will have three choices for the learning platform to receive instruction and at what location.  These choices include 5-day in-person learning at ACMS with teachers, ACMS virtual through google meets with ACMS teachers, and Apex Virtual through a self-paced instructional curriculum with Apex Advisory teachers for support.

Specific details of the type of instruction, attendance and participation expectations, resources, and communication about each of the 3 types of learning platforms can be found below by clicking on each informational link.  Please call the school if you have specific questions any of the 3 learning platform options.

ACMS NTI Daily Schedule - Inclement Weather
ACMS will use the following instructional schedule for each inclement weather related NTI day (any day of the week).  

Students must attend each google meet listed below during any inclement weather related NTI day for the daily direct instruction lesson and class assignment.   Students are required to complete daily assignments for each day.  

Google meets are available by phone or by video link.

 

  • 1st Period:  8:30-9:00
  • BREAK:     9:00-9:15
  •  2nd Period:  9:15-9:45
  • BREAK:     9:45-10:00  
  • 3rd Period:  10:00-10:30
  • BREAK:     10:30-10:45
  • 4th Period:  10:45-11:15
  • LUNCH BREAK:  11:15-11:45
  • 5th Period:  11:45-12:15
  • BREAK:     12:15-12:30
  • 6th Period:  12:30-1:00
  • REQUIRED ADVISORY CLASS:  1:00-1:15

 TEACHER OFFICE HOURS:  1:15-2:30 PM

 Teacher Plan Time is 2:30-3:30 PM

Schedule Following Thanksgiving Break:

Anderson County Schools will be moving to districtwide NTI (virtual instruction for all) beginning Monday, November 30th through Friday, December 18th. See information below.School will be in session Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th. Students will receive any needed materials for the NTI period on Friday, November 20th. 


(Note: According to the Governors order, elementary schools may return to in person instruction after December 7th if the community is not in red. Please watch for further information if this is the case)

 
2022 ACHS Overseas Trip
This opportunity includes our current 8th-graders, as they will be ACHS students at the time of the trip.
