NTI Day #6 - Tuesday, January 14
Anderson County Schools will be using NTI Day 6 on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. 

- School daycare will be open
- Free on-site student meals will be available at Saffell Street Elementary: Breakfast - 8:30-9:30, Lunch - 12-1. 

There are still several snow and ice covered roads as well as low hanging branches over roads throughout the county. The majority of bus turnarounds are not safe to be used with students on board. At this time, we plan to return to regular schedule,  Wednesday January 15th, using an alternate transportation plan. Households of those affected will receive communication to allow families time to plan. A final determination for Wednesday will be communicated Wednesday afternoon based on updated road conditions.

Assignments will be posted to Google Classroom. Stay safe Bearcats!
 
NTI Day #5 - Monday, Jan. 13
Anderson County Schools will be using NTI Day 5 on Monday, January 13, 2025. 
- School daycare will be open

NTI Day #2-4 - Jan. 8 - Jan. 10

Due to severe weather and community power outages, Anderson County Schools will be closed, using NTI,  for the remainder of the week: Wednesday, Jan. 8 - NTI Day 2, Thursday, Jan. 9  - NTI Day 3, and Friday, Jan. 10 - NTI Day 4.

  • Students will receive extended time to complete NTI work if needed due to power outages or other issues. Please communicate needs with your students’ teachers and administrators. 

  • School Daycares will be open at Saffell Street and Emma B. Ward.

  • Student meals for all ACSchools Students (3 breakfasts and 3 lunches - food for the remainder of the week) will be available for pickup at Saffell Street Elementary, Wednesday from 1-2pm. If you plan to pick up meals for ACSchools students, please fill out the following form to help us ensure we have enough prepared meals: https://forms.gle/DuqU6hWFDtNaNKz66

  • Please check back for updates - If Saffell Street or Emma B. Ward loses power, changes to this plan will be communicated.

Traditional Snow Day - Tuesday, January 7th
Anderson County Schools will be using a Traditional Snow Day, Tuesday, 1/7/25. 
- This day will be made up on 2/10/25, which was previously scheduled as a break day.
- Daycare will be closed due to Power Outages and Road Conditions.
- Saffell Street Elementary will be set up as a warming center 1/7 from 8 to 3, enter through doors by the cafeteria.
- Student Meals will be served at Saffell Street: Breakfast 8:30-9:30 and Lunch 12:00 - 1:00.
- Please check back for updates - If Saffell loses power, changes to this plan will be communicated.

ACHS - NTI Day #1 - Monday, January 6
Anderson County Schools will be using NTI Day 1 on Monday, January 6, 2025. School daycare and school buildings will be closed. All after school and extracurricular activities will be canceled or postponed. A determination for Tuesday will be made and communicated by Monday afternoon. If you have NTI needs, contact your students' school. Please stay safe and warm!

For our ACHS students, all assignments will be posted on google classroom. Please be sure to check your google classrooms for your second semester classes, some of these classes will be new to you. Assignments should be able to be completed independently. Teachers and staff will be available via e-mail from 8 AM - 3 PM. There will be no optional google meets tomorrow in anticipation of potential power outages. Please be sure to check google classroom and your emails as we progress through the inclement weather. 2024 PSAT Information

Attention 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in signing up for the PSAT:

The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 29th at Anderson Co. High School. Any 11th grader who plans on applying to Governor's Scholar needs to take the PSAT and/or ACT in October. Any 10th graders who plan on applying to Craft or Gatton Academies are encouraged to take the PSAT. Online registration will begin on August 28th and close on September 23rd. ACHS Homecoming Dance 2024

The ACHS Homecoming Dance is quickly approaching! 

The dance is open to 9th-12th grade students. Homecoming dance tickets are included in the annual student fee, however, students must still sign up to attend.

These sign ups will run from September 9th- September 19th each morning until 8:00am and after school until 3:30 in the gym lobby concession stand. 

Students can bring a date that doesn’t attend ACHS by completing the date request form (located in both offices & outside Ms. Vasser’s classroom) and paying $10 for the date’s ticket. 

Students on LOP cannot sign up. 
 
Enchanted Evening on Main - Prom 2024
Prom 2024 will be downtown on Main Street as scheduled for tomorrow May 11th from 7:00-11:00!
Entry will begin at 7:00pm and students must be checked in by 9:00pm. 
Students can park in any of the downtown parking lots. Students may only enter at the intersection of Bob Hyatt Way and Main Street. 
No tickets will be sold at the gate, all prom attendees must have already been registered. 
Parents can watch students enter via the sidewalk in front of Wesbanco. Once your student has entered, please make that space available so others can see their students. 
Progressive Photography will be taking pictures of students as they enter and throughout the night. A link will be provided after Prom offering families free downloads of those photos courtesy of ACHS. 
Snacks, water, and other desserts will be available at no additional charge. 
Students can also purchase Taylor Belles ice cream on main street or from downtown establishments that are open.
We can't wait to share an Enchanted Evening on Main with our Bearcats!

Governor's School for the Arts
These five bearcats have been chosen as part of the Governor's School for the Arts Class of 2024! These students have worked extremely hard and worked through an application and audition process to earn this high honor! Help us celebrate their hard work!
 
Prom 2024
Prom Ticket Sales will begin Wednesday, April 17th and run through May 8th.
Tickets will be sold before or after school only in the gym lobby concession stand (APEX students will purchase with Mrs. Rollins).
Tickets are $30 per ticket. Students can purchase for you and a date.
 We are accepting cash (please try to bring exact) or check ONLY. 
 If you’re bringing a date that doesn’t attend ACHS, approval forms are located outside Ms. Vasser’s classroom and in both offices.
Students on LOP are not able to purchase tickets. 
ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. We are unable to issue refunds. 
We can not wait to share an Enchanted Evening on Main with you all!
