State Test Results Released

All Anderson County Schools made progress on state tests and are continuing to ensure that students are college and career ready, according to new results released Friday by the Kentucky Department of Education.

Overall, Anderson County Schools now ranks in the 86th percentile among the state's public school districts, an increase from the 75th percentile last year.

“We are continuing to improve as a district,” said ACSchools Superintendent Sheila Mitchell. “I am very proud that every school made gains and commend our students, faculty and staff for their hard work. This collaboration has resulted in consistent progress over the last three years with the implementation of the new, rigorous common core standards and next generation assessments. As we move forward, we will continue to strive for improvements at all schools and focus on meeting our goals to ensure Anderson County students receive  the best education we can provide. I am proud of our peak performance and look forward to moving ahead."

Individual School Highlights:

Robert B. Turner Elementary:  99th percentile, Recognized as a School of Distinction

Emma B. Ward Elementary:  89th percentile, Recognized as a Proficient  and Progressing school

Saffell Street Elementary: Made gains in 2 of 3 areas, Recognized as a Proficient School

Anderson County Middle School: Made gains in all areas, Recognized as a Progressing school

Anderson County High School: Made gains in 3 of 5 areas including Improved Graduation Rate
