Students Requesting Schedule Information

Attention Juniors and Seniors, who will be BCTC students this fall:

Mrs. Wells will be available on Wednesday, July 8th, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. to meet with students regarding BCTC classes and again on Monday July 13, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. You may enter through the East Wing front door. This is only for students who will be taking BCTC classes this fall.

SCHEDULE CONSULTATIONS:

Any 9th - 12th grade student who needs to consult on their 2015-16 schedule may come to ACHS guidance office between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. on July 29th or 30th, August 3rd or 4th to meet with a counselor. As a reminder schedules are created based on student requests through the advising process. Sometimes classes do not make, and it is necessary for students to take other electives. During consultations we want to ensure that ALL students have the required courses pertinent for graduation. We can discuss students' career majors and college/career goals. Please keep in mind the SBDM schedule change policy and that the master schedule may continue to change as staffing and scheduling issues arise.

The SBDM schedule change policy states that there will be NO schedule changes except for the following reasons: a student failed a class and needs to repeat that class; a class is missing but necessary for graduation, a student is currently scheduled for a class for which credit was previously received. After the first day of class, the only schedule change that will be considered will be counselor or administrator initiated due to inappropriate placement.

Additionally, seniors who do not meet college readiness benchmarks on the ACT may not be assigned as office aides, participate in co-op or independent study.
