Farm to School Program Meeting
Anderson County Schools plans to become an active "Farm to School" system starting this fall. "Farm to School" is a program promoted by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture where the school food service program purchases locally grown fruits and vegetables for the school breakfast and lunch programs. We are hosting a meeting on Wednesday, May 21 at 6:30pm at the Anderson County Board of Education Office with Kentucky Department of Agriculture representative Tina Garland to explain how local growers can become part of this initiative.
