At the recommendation of Governor Beshear, ACSchools will be extending the current school closing through the end of the school year. As recommended by the Kentucky Department of Education, we will finish the year practicing Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Teachers and staff will continue to be available for students from 8am to 3pm daily. We value your partnership and realize this is a stressful time. If you have questions or need assistance, please call your school or email your child’s teacher(s). We are here to serve and want to make this experience a positive one for all.
Superintendent Mitchell will be recommending to the Board of Education an amended calendar using all available NTI and emergency time to meet KDE requirements. This would make the last day for students Monday, May 11, 2020. Schools will be in contact over the coming weeks with information on how the year will be closed out and how traditional end of the year activities such as class ceremonies, prom and graduation will be addressed. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation.
Note: School was scheduled to be closed on Friday, May 1, 2020, as a break day according to the original instructional calendar. We now plan to conduct an NTI day on May 1st with lessons and instruction.
