Thank You

Thank you once again for your generous support during the Pennies for Haiti competition.   Over $1,700 was donated from EBW to the American Red Cross to help with the earthquake relief.   Mrs. Oster's class collected the largest amount with $272.72, followed by Mrs. Blackhurst's class with $219.69, and 3rd place goes to Mrs. Spears class with $185.48.

Box Tops for Education Competion

The EBW PFAC would like to encourage everyone to turn in Box Tops for Education labels.  Each label is worth 10 cents!  We collect these labels throughout the year, but during the month of January we will be having a grade level competition to see which grade can bring in the most labels.   The winners will receive a popcorn and pop party.  So starting clipping the box tops and send in with your child by the January 29 deadline.

New Attendance Incentives at EBW and Anderson County Schools

For a certain time period, students will be eligible for prizes to reward them for perfect attendance.  One name will be drawn out and that student will be presented with the grand prize at school. Students will also be eligible to win certificates for McDonalds Arch Cards.  Please make sure your child comes to school; new prizes will be awarded each month.  Students must be in their classroom promptly at 8am to begin the day.

Thank You for Your Support of the 2nd Annual Empty Bowls Dinner

Thanks to your willingness to support our Empty Bowls Dinner during December 2009, over $2,600 was raised to donate to local and international organizations  to fight hunger.   This exceeded our goal by approximately $600 from 2008.   Thank you for your generosity.
