Procedures for School Closing due to Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, school officials begin checking the roads at 3:30 A.M. Once a decision has been made to close school for the day, news organizations are called in the following order:

  5. WHAS 11
  6. WLKY 32
  7. FOX 41
  8. FOX 56
  9. Anderson News Website

    We make every effort post the closing between 5:30-6:00 A.M.

Note: We do not call radio stations. Any information obtained by a radio station is picked up from the television stations.
