1st Grade 100th Day of School Writing Submitted by Mrs. Gott
5th Grade Poetry Submitted by Mrs. Baker Senses of Snow look outside and sense the stillness of the snow, I feel as calm as the ocean on a warm summer day. I hear the silence of the glistening snowflakes falling. I feel the coolness of a slight breeze, and smell the wet grass freezing beneath the soft, white, sparkling snow. As the last beautiful snowflakes fall, I remember the senses of snow.
Board of Education You have funded our education, given us land for our schools, built new schools, or improved our old ones. You have provided supplies like markers, white boards, and computers. You make county-wide rules and planned our days off. Teachers have taught us drills for tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, or fires on a bus. We have food that you have provided and you approve our field trips and sports schedules for our safety. You bought us band uniforms We are honoring a week of the Board of Education Appreciation. Thank you for everything you have done.
Nature's Wonders The graceful river, moving like a giant snake, feeding trees and plants.
The tall, tall mountains, with peaks covered with white snow, entering the sky.
The falling wet rain, flooding small rivers and streams, drowning helpless plants.
The brown mother bear, huddles with her cubs in the den, waiting for sun rise.
The fluffy white clouds, move slowly in the blue sky, blocking out the sun.
The giant boulder, sits at the top of the hill, sitting silently,
The giant walrus, lays on the rocky shore, resting in the sun.
My Dog Went Everywhere My dog went everywhere. He went under my legs, behind the trees, in the box, around my house, and out the door. My dog went everywhere. He went to the park, over the bridge, across the lake, and through my school. My dog went everywhere. He went above the skies, below the seas, across the country, and around the world. My dog went everywhere, He went into space, around the Milky Way, and across the universe. My dog went everywhere. He flew back to the U.S.A, to Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, through Star Hill Way, and into my arms. My dog went everywhere.
