Anderson County Schools was host to the Kentucky School Board Association (KSBA) Central Kentucky Fall Regional Meeting on October 2, 2014. The focus of this year's KSBA Fall Regional Meeting was state training requirements. The meeting also offered two pre-meeting training sessions on the topics of ethics and finance. The meeting, held at Emma B. Ward Elementary school, was attended by Anderson County School Board members as well as school board members from Boyle County, Bourbon County, Burgin Independent, Clark County, Danville Independent, Estill County, Fayette County, Garrard County, Jessamine County , Mercer County, Montgomery County, Paris Independent, Powell County, and Scott County. Several State Legislators, including Representative Kim King, Senator Julian Carroll, Representative Candidate Reggie Thomas, Representative Derek Graham, were also in attendance. Guests were treated to musical entertainment from Anderson County Middle School Teachers Kim Webber and Justin Underwood, instrumental and vocal performances by Emma B. Ward music students and an art showcase from Anderson County Elementary, Middle and High School students.
