ACSchools Rank Among the Top in the State in Energy Efficiency
On December 4th, a report compiled by Kentucky School Board Association and the School Energy Managers Project was given to the Legislative Research Commission and the Energy and Environment Cabinet. The report ranks the energy efficiency of 173 school districts for the span of 6 fiscal years from 2009-2010 to present. Anderson County Schools ranks ninth in the state and has reduced its Energy Utilization Index by 10.3 points. Superintendent Shelia Mitchell stated, “Our staff’s dedication to energy conservation under the leadership of District Energy Manager, Gary Stinnett, continues to greatly benefit our school district.”
