Making Connections-Life Planning for Success
Anderson County Schools along with ACE sponsored a Transition Fair for families of students with disabilities at the Anderson County Health Department on March 6th. In an effort to build relationships and connections between families and available services within the community, over 20 agencies provided information to approximately 40 families regarding services that can be provided while the students are still in school or after graduating from high school.

Matt Koger, Director of Special Education, said, “This was our first year offering this opportunity for our families and community. Due to the success of the program and such a large turn out from families and agencies, we will be looking at a larger location for next time as we continue to build awareness of the services that are available within the region for students with disabilities and their families.”
