Description:
Preschool PBIS is a new training based on a multi-tiered system of interventions that builds a continuum of supports and services designed to increase social competence and prevent challenging behaviors for young children.  Participants will learn how to incorporate individualized interventions such as social stories, choice boards, etc into their daily classroom routine.  Training will also include sessions on autism, trauma and narcotics exposure as well as how to conduct a social-emotional assessment, functional behavior assessment and how to use data to develop a behavior intervention plan.

Participants are encouraged to sign up as a team from their district.  Team members may include preschool teachers, instructional assistants, administrators, therapists, etc.  The training is a 5 session commitment with each session building upon the other.  Sessions 1, 2 and 3 will be held at the Anderson County Board of Education in Lawrenceburg and Sessions 4 and 5 will be held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Lexington where all PBIS teams from each RTC across the state will participate.  .  Those who attend will receive various resources.

This training is limited to 35 people.
