ACHS Weekly Info. for 8/24/15
Picture day is Wednesday September 2nd. All students must get their picture taken for use in IC.
Friday September 4th is our annual Academic Breakfast for last year's GPA of 3.5 or above (it is not the cumulative GPA). We use the State KEES report for this list so if your child was not on the list, it may be because KEES doesn't list their names if there is not a Social Security number on record in IC. This is how the KEES scholarships are awarded each year as well.
No School on Monday September 7th for Labor Day.
Anderson County College and Career Fair is Wednesday September 16th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. All senior and junior students will have the opportunity to visit our fair in Gym C. Last year we had over 45 colleges, universities, and career opportunities represented. Please see attached flyer to register before the fair to get your own bar-code to scan at each both instead of filling out the info cards!!!
Senior Parent Night is Thursday September 17th at 6:00 pm in cafeteria B located in the east wing. This night is for parents and/or students to get information about timelines for college applications, financial aid, and other information that seniors need to know for their senior year. If you are unable to come, just have your student stop by the guidance office after the meeting and get the info we handed out.
Seniors that WANT to take the ASVAB on September 17th but are already college and career ready need to see Ms. Miracle in the guidance office to reserve a spot. Juniors and Sophomores:The PSAT test will be given at ACHS on Wednesday October 14th during school. Mrs. Hanks will have more information to come.

ACT TEST DATES AND REGISTRATION DEADLINES: WILL BE OFFERED AT ACHS IN OCTOBER AND DECEMBER. THE FEE TO TAKE THE ACT IS $39.50
