ACSchools Recognized for Reducing Cleaning Costs
The Anderson County Schools were recently recognized as being one of the top ten districts in Kentucky at cutting custodial supplies costs. The district reduced the cost of cleaning per square foot by 66.6% with a net reduction of $41,241.84. “Several of the schools now do ‘team’ cleaning in an effort to not only cut down on cleaning supply usage but also energy usage,” say Bryan Drury, Director of Maintenance. “The custodians and maintenance staff have collectively worked together to cut costs where possible in the cleaning and maintenance of the District buildings.”
