Teacher of The Month
Shining Stars from the Month of November - 2009

Anderson County High School

  Micki Ray

Anderson County High School proudly selects Mrs. Micki Ray as our Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Ray graduated from ACHS in 1997, and traveled to Georgetown College to earn her Bachelor of Arts in English. She furthered her education at the University of Kentucky, obtaining her Master’s degree and returning to her alma mater in 2002 to begin her teaching career. One of the many highlights in Mrs. Ray’s teaching career has been her implementation of the AP Language class for juniors. In its inaugural year, students saw tremendous success, which has translated into multiple sections for Mrs. Ray this year. In addition to teaching juniors and seniors in the classroom, she co-sponsors FCA, serves as one of the senior class sponsors, and co-facilitates the cooperative learning sessions for Anderson University, our professional learning communities. Her fellow faculty members recently shared, “She is fantastic teacher and inspiration not only to her students but to every faculty member. She is what we all aspire to be.”

  Jim Tyler

Jim Tyler is one of the most caring teachers we have. He is constantly thinking of new innovative ways to reach our kids in the 6th grade. He has brought so much enthusiasm to the world of Math and in that time, made meaningful connections with the kids. He works extremely hard to differentiate instruction so that all kids may learn. He is a wonderful inspiration to us all. He makes learning math fun for all the students.

  Dana Dill & Mondi Kirby
The Early Childhood Center would like to congratulate Mrs. Dana Dill!! Mrs. Dill has been chosen as the November Teacher of the Month. Since Mrs. Dill’s hiring in July she has had a commitment to her students to educate them academically and push them to achieve above what they thought they were able to achieve. She has a caring spirit, a “go get’em” attitude and always a smile on her face. Mrs. Dill brings a lot of knowledge and motivation to our team!
