Extended School Services [ESS]

Students needing assistance may stay after school for Extended Student Services. The ACHS Library/Media Center is open from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Mondays [English], Tuesdays [Science], Wednesdays [Math], and Thursdays [Social Studies]. Students may attend ESS to receive assistance from teachers and to make-up missed assignments. If they need to use the time to make-up missed work, students should collaborate with their teachers to ensure the work is ready for them on the days they expect to stay. For more information, please contact Mr. Josh White.

Testing Schedule

Kentucky Department of Education is in a transition period for state high school accountability assessments. You may check the KDE Office of Assessment and Accountability website to learn of the latest assessment information.

1. What assessments are being used for each subject and grade level?

2a. How much will the student results count for elementary and middle schools?

*Growth — EL students who take the WIDA ACCESS proficiency test are included in the calculation for reading. There is a separate English Learner Growth Value Table that gives points for students growing from the previous year’s ACCESS composite score to the current year. These points are combined with the points given in reading for all students and then divided by the total number of student scores.

2b. How much will the student results count for high school?

ACHIEVEMENT GAP
KASC Statement: It is vital for the SBDM Council, educators, students, families, and communities to keep the focus on closing achievement gaps. Our students, schools, communities, state, and country are negatively impacted when we can’t reach and teach each student. Councils should be analyzing gaps for groups even though it’s not included as an indicator.

3. What kind of overall rating will our school receive?

4. How does the 2020 K-PREP test differ from last year?
(The strikethroughs show last year’s test. The red indicates the current number.)
